The Tulip Table

In an effort to "clean up the mess of the leg" Eero Saarinen designed the Pedestal Collection in the 1950's. He created the tulip chair and table to directly contrast the ornate pieces of the previous decades. Today, it is a timeless piece that fits with any decor or style, whether contemporary, modern, antique, or eclectic.  In itself it is sculptural and recognizable and has become a symbol of mid-century modern design.

Here's a little inspiration for you.
